We report the current status of software development for inelastic spectrometers and its demonstration on 4SEASONS, high intensity chopper spectrometer, and AMATERAS, cold neutron disk-chopper spectrometer, at Materials and Life Science Facility (MLF), J-PARC. The software developed by current work consists of several parts, (1) the instrument control, (2) the informative visualization, (3) the commands sequence control, (4) the data reduction and (5) the data visualization. Resulted software has been already employed for actual measurements and by using it we have obtained significant results from neutron instruments at MLF. For example, we have successfully demonstrated to analyze and visualize several dynamical structure factors with different incident energies obtained simultaneously by one measurement at 4SEASONS. High flexibility of event-recorded data treated by the data reduction software has a large contribution to realize such a new technique for inelastic neutron scattering.
